Munich Street Festival, August 2003

The Colmcilles took part in the Munich Street festival last weekend (August 2nd - 3rd), showing the citizens of Munich what Gaelic games are all about. The Munich street festival is an event which closes off the cities largest street to hold a festival of live music, sports, and entertainment throughout the weekend. Using a timeslot between 4 and 5 pm on Sunday 3rd August, the 'Cilles set up the GAA goals near the Munich University from where they played Gaelic football in temperatres of 30+ degrees Celsius. Thankyou to all the members who turned up for the event. Thanks to Terry Magee for providing the means to transport the Goals from the club training grounds to the city center).

Also, a big thankyou also to the Munich Irish Folk Pub who supplied us with a Rings board and stand which we used to continue our fundraising efforts for 2003.
