2001 Euro League Round 4 - Luxembourg
Sat 26th May 2001 (Blackstuff 7-a-side)

Back Row (L-R) : Dan Galavan, Paul Larkin, Fergus McKenna, Martin Coleman.
Front Row (L-R): John Colfer, Aido Patton, Daire Kivlehan
The "Black Stuff" tournament in Luxembourg was a success for the club. With the "Munich Magnificent 7" we narrowly missed out on a semi-final spot on points difference. Coming from the "group of death" in which 2 of the teams eventually made the final we were winning 2 games (1 being against the eventual winners) and drawing 1 at half time. We succeeded in beating last years winners and this years favourites and runners-up Guernsey so I was delighted with that considering this was the first time that we played together. The next tournament is coming up at the end of June and I hope to have a stronger panel for that. That is going to be München Colmcilles' tournament. I'd like to thank the following for making the weekend happen: First of all thanks to Dermot Kelly and Ian Taylor who gave us the use of a set of the Rovers jerseys. The team who travelled; Paul Larkin, Dan Galavan, Martin Coleman, Daire Kivlehan, John Colfer and Fergus McKenna. And last but not least I'd also like to thank Paul Larkin on behalf of the team who drove the team "bus".
